For the love of Horses.

I have had a love for horses since a very young age and owned my own horses throughout my life since I was 18 years old. That’s over 40 years; it’s been quite a ride.

I have shared that love with many acquaintances, friends and my daughter. These experiences and memories are always special, and I never want to not share this part of my life with others.

I have studied, gotten certificates, diplomas, tried different trainers, methods etc., trained, bred, started and had relationships with many horses.

I also have other qualifications that make how I share, instruct and teach horses & humans unique.

Over the years the one barrier that exists in every human, horse combination, that gets in the way of achieving what you want with your horse, regardless of whether that is competition, pleasure riding, or in hand showing etc. are confidence and relationship. These two things change everything.

I offer confidence and relationship building workshops for groups of up to 4 at a time and 1:1 sessions for individuals who would like a more personalised or more frequent experience.

The rider’s mind, the horses mind, the rider’s body, the horses body.

Understanding the impact of each of these areas and the way they interplay any time we enter our horses’ space is essential to maximising our time, safety and training.

Together we look at how these four areas can be used, how to know which areas need attention, and what kind of attention. I help you build the knowledge, understanding and application of skills that we as the human need to be with your horse in a way that builds a safe, and confident relationship and experience for both you and your horse.

I am located between Burnham, Rolleston and Lincoln in the Selwyn District of Canterbury.

“What I have spent years trying to figure out on my own and with counsellors you have helped me figure out in just 2 weeks, it’s amazing”.

  • Kate R

"Thank you so much! Working with you changed my life. I was grieving the loss of my dad and burnt out from a job I loved all while starting my own business. It was a busy time and from the moment I met you, I knew there was a way forward through a difficult time. You helped me to find the solutions to problems as they arose, as well as advising me on long standing issues. I was able to dive deeper into who I am as a person, what I value and recognise patterns I wanted to break through and managed due to your support. I highly recommend you to everyone, having coaching with you was life changing it was like having a counsellor, best friend, confidant and wise owl all in one!"

I appreciate how you guide me to my own conclusions and the patience you show when teaching and reinforcing skills that nurture my mindset and thought processes into a more positive, healthy and helpful relationship with myself.
