For the love of the horse. For the growth of the rider.
I have had a love for horses since a very young age and owned my own horses throughout my life since I was 18 years old. That’s over 40 years; it’s been quite a ride.
I have shared that love with many acquaintances, friends and my daughter. These experiences and memories are always special, and I never want to not share this part of my life with others.
I have studied, gotten certificates, diplomas, tried different trainers, methods etc., trained, bred, started and had relationships with many horses.
I am also Certified as a Life Coach and Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner, what I gained from these qualifications make how I share, instruct and teach horses & humans unique.
Over the years the one barrier that shows up in every human, horse combination, that gets in the way of achieving what you want with your horse, regardless of whether that is competition, pleasure riding, or in hand showing etc. The way you think, feel and act effects how you show up, managing your mind is as essential skill as any horse training skill and particularly when it comes to building confidence and relationship with your horse.
I offer confidence and relationship building workshops for groups of up to 4 at a time and 1:1 sessions for individuals who would like a more personalised experience. These skills can be learned and practiced whether you are with your horse or not and whether you are on the ground or in the saddle.
Sometimes it is simply your mindset, and the way you are viewing what is happening, but if you also want to gain skills that allow you to train or trouble shoot training issues with your horse I have the knowledge, experience and skills so we can address that along the way.

The rider’s mind, the horses mind, the rider’s body, the horses body.
Understanding the impact of each of these areas and the way they interplay any time we enter our horses’ space is essential to maximising our time, safety and training.
Together we look at how these four areas can be used, how to know which areas need attention, and what kind of attention. I help you build the knowledge, understanding and application of skills that we as the human to be with your horse in a way that builds a safe, and confident relationship and experience for both you and your horse.
I am located between Burnham, Rolleston and Lincoln in the Selwyn District of Canterbury.
